This site has a few new systems Introduced due to the amount of types and trainers among other things.
Pokemom battle: These battles work like in the game simple command the faster pokemon hit first the slow second unless trick room or such is up.
Major pokemon battle: These battles are the most challenging instead of being so much glued to the game you can command your pokemon more freely however but so can your opponent. this type of battle will be used in rival battles boss battles and gym leader battles.
Contest Battle: These are done using a 60 point system over a period of 30 post. 10 post per coordinator plus 10 update post.
How does this point system work?
When your pokemon is attacked determined to how badly the attack hurt your pokemon would lose between 1-5 points.
If a pokemon shows agelessness it will cause its opponent to lose points. if a pokemon dodges you the opponent loses between 1-5 points.
Now with combination moves the toughness/coolness/beauty of a combination move will take between 1-5 points off the opponent landing the attack (since they tend to be stronger) can deal a massive 5-10 points in damage if it is really effective.
Ranger Systems: Rangers use a capture styler for them to gain pokemon aid. however for this to work effectively the pokemon ranger would have to loop it a few times while distracting it with his or her partner pokemon.
Once a pokemon has been captured via a styler a record of it will be kept. This pokemon can be called upon by the ranger however these pokemon tend to roam far and wide grow more powerful and some trainers in the world may even be lucky enough to capture one of them.
Hunter systems: A hunter uses a device that the ranger association calls the chocolate gun. These guns even though their name given by the rangers seems like a joke these are not. These guns are powerful enough to capture many powerful pokemon at full strength and have 3 shots before the gun has to be recharged at the hunter base. However the pokemon can break free if the hunter takes too long to deliver it.
Gym trainee systems: Once you become a gym trainee your goal is to find at least 3 pokemon of your specified type or mixed type. then defeat a gym leader you are either on normal terms with or disadvantaged against. Once you gain their gym badge you can travel to any town that doesn't have a gym and challenge the pokemon leauge official there to a battle and if you win your gym will be built to your exact design and will be completed exactly 1 week (IRL) from when you defeated the official.
Experience Systems: Now this one is a little challenging to explain
alright the base exp for a lv1 pokemon on this site is 16. when it levels up to lv2 and its in its first form then the exp goes like this
16 + (2(level achieved) * 2(Base from exp bonus) )= 20exp needed at lv2 to get to lv3 for all base forms
Now lets say a second form like pidgeotto is there.
at lv1 it will need lv1 base which is 16 * 2 = 32 to lv up to lv2
Now for a 2nd form the exp is like this
32 + (2(level achieved) * 3(2nd form base exp bonus) ) = 38 exp needed at lv 2 to get to lv3
Now lets say a final form like golem is there
at lv1 it will be 2nd form base at that level * 2 in this case 32 * 2 = 64 exp to get to lv2
Now once it levels up it will be 64 + (2(level achieved * 4(3rd form base) = 72 exp at lv2 to get to lv3
And for those folks who manage to get their hands on a legendary pokemon.
They will act as a base 1 form system having 16 exp needed to level up to lv2. however their system is bigger than the others
16 + (2(level achieved) * 5( legendary base) ) = 26exp needed at lv2. May not seem like much due to the power the legendary have but in the long run they do become the most difficult to raise.
Now since all base forms will level up really easily another system has been put in place called the bump up system. and it applies to all systems.
The first bump up happens at lv50 a pokemon in base form will be treated as a 2nd form pokemon and a 2nd form as a 3rd form etc.
2nd bump at lv 70
3rd bump at 90
and to make getting to lv100 a bit more difficult the final bump happens at lv 99.
